Common questions
Questions people often ask before they sign up
What are the prerequisites for Divemaster?
You need PADI Rescue Diver and Emergency First Response (done in the last 24 months). You also need at least 50 logged dives. You must be 18 or older and a strong swimmer.
How long does the Divemaster course take?
Usually 14 days. You can also do it as a one-month internship with real guests. Or you can do a busy two-week program.
What can I do as a certified Divemaster?
You can look after dive groups and help instructors with students. You can guide certified divers. You can also run some programs, like Scuba Review and Skin Diving.
Is this a professional certification?
Yes. Divemaster is the first pro level in PADI. You become a PADI pro member, and you can get paid work in diving.
What's included in the course fee?
The fee covers training, gear on rent, the Divemaster Crew Pack, online material, and your certification. The PADI membership fee is extra. Extra dives, if needed, cost ₹2,000 per dive.
Can I work as a Divemaster after certification?
Yes. Divemasters work at dive shops, resorts, and dive boats. Some work freelance.
Check with us before you travel
Courses depend on the weather and on when the instructor is free. Some courses need a minimum number of students. You also need to be fit to dive under PADI rules.
