Lighthouse South/North is one of the most popular dive sites in Tarkarli. The water is often very clear and there are lots of fish. The bottom slopes gently, with sand and rocks where fish like to live.

The site and the water
What the sea floor looks like and what the water is like
The sea floor
The slope starts at 5 meters and goes down to 14 meters. The bottom has sand with rocks and coral mixed in. There are a few spots to swim through and some ledges to look under.
Water conditions
The current is usually light, so most divers are comfortable here. The site is sheltered from strong wind and waves. Diving is pleasant for most of the year.
Best time to dive
Come between October and April. The water is clearest then (8-16 meters) and warm (24-28°C). Fish are more active and the corals look their best.
