Middle Island is a small rocky outcrop that provides a unique diving experience unlike any other in the Tarkarli region. The island's underwater topography creates interesting swim-throughs, overhangs, and provides shelter for various marine species. Divers can circumnavigate the entire island during a single dive, experiencing different underwater landscapes and marine life.

Topography

The island features steep rocky walls that drop from the surface to about 16 meters depth. The underwater terrain includes natural arches, caves, and swim-throughs created by the island's unique geological formation. The rocky structure provides numerous hiding places for marine life.

Diving Conditions

The site features moderate to strong currents around the island, making it suitable for intermediate to advanced divers. Currents can vary significantly depending on tide and weather conditions, adding an element of challenge to the dive.

Best Time to Dive

Ideal diving conditions from November to March when currents are more predictable and marine life is most active. During this period, visibility ranges from 6-12 meters and water temperatures are comfortable for extended diving.
